I heard I need receipt for my laptop if I fly with it to prove to Customs its mine. (Flying to Germany.)?
Do I really need to have the receipt with me? I heard that an alternative would to be to go to customs earlier and have my laptop "checked in" so they have a record of it. Also, any advice for making flight to Germany more comfortable? I will be on plane approximately 9 hours. Are you allowed to play games on your laptop while you are flying? Thinking that really could help pass the time. Any tips concerning flying and the laptop are all appreciated!

It's not a requirement, but it would be a good idea to have it just in case there's any question. (It's just about having to pay duty on it when you return home if they think you bought it in Germany.) Yes, you can play games, watch movies, anything you want on your laptop during the flight. You just have to turn it off during takeoff and landing. When you go through security, you have to take the laptop out of its case and put it separately in a bin, so have it readily accessible while you're in the security line.

it is better because if any thing happens then they can handle it some times. yes, you are allowed to play games in the airplane but not during take off and landing. it is better to take with you headphones and extra battery for your laptop. and a mouse

is it possible to be in germany, and your laptop IP still say you are in Dallas, on pst??
i have a friend who says he is in germany, but his IP still says dallas, he is using a laptop with wireless, is that possible or is he lyin?

Yes it's possible if he is using a proxy or using a VPN or even socks all those are just ways to make you have an IP in other country or even in your country but it isn't yours

Hi! I had bought a laptop from Germany having Windows XP in German. How can I change that to English? THANKS!?
The problem is that my German is basic and I would prefer to have it in English as that's my language. Therefore, I want to ask if there is a website where I can log into and change the working language of my laptop into English and not German. One of my ideas was actually to try to use the Windows XP CD that I had with my home PC but I was told that it wasn't possible. > Please help! Thanks so much, alexianne

Go to Control Panel, look for regions & languages, switch or add english to that list, click apply then ok and voila! Hint: it's the one in the control panel that looks like a globe. (not the one with the wire shooting outta it)

Can I play a CD computer game from Germany on my American computer?
I bought a Germany game on CD and I was wondering if it will harm my laptop that I bought in America?

if it is denazified it should give you no problem. but seriously, Of course not.

of course it can,I but CD game from Indonesia and I play it in New Zealand,and my friend buy many CD game from France and he play it in canada.....I Think its ok. do you know how people out side USA play CD game from USA and other country,they don't have problem.... you can try it
