You can definately take it on board with you, I've done it on mulitple occassions

Yes you can. You are allowed to use it 10 mins after take-off up until 10 min beofre landing. In security, you'll have to take the laptop out of the bag for scanning.

you can bring it on, just you cant have it on during take off and landing. and there might not be a way to recharge it on the plane some airlines now have plugs but most dont.
7 :
yes you should be able to. Business people do it all the time!

I just went on a flight about 2 weeks ago and I was allowed to bring my laptop. You just have to take it out of the case....that was only across the country, though. I'm not sure if it will be any different going through other countries..you can probably just check with the airline !

I brought mine with me to SFO and through customs they took it away for a checkup, and were a bit annoyed that I didn't tell them I had a laptop in the first place. My dad told me to always keep your laptop with you, dont put it in your luggage and check it in (you never know if they throw the luggage--with clothes it doesnt matter. also you never know if it will get lost or not--my friend's dad lost a suitcase on a buisness trip) However you can't use it during the flight, obviously. But it's important to keep a laptop safe! ^^ hope it helps! ^^

You can absolutely bring your laptop with you. And Lufthansa is a great airlines by the way. Bring your lap top in a seperate like lap top case though, and remember when going through security you will have to remove it from the bag. Other than that yea you can so bring it and like jam out watch movies play games or do work... do whatever you want with it... just make sure Wi-Fi is turned off... Enjoy Germany by the way..... Country is soooo beautiful..

I dont see why not.
12 :
Of cause you r allowed to take it with you
13 :
No you can take it on board.
14 :
you can bring it on with you but you can't surf the net just play games & such

Not only can you take it on the plane, airlines request (and some are beginning to require) that you take it with you as checked luggage. Their logic, which makes sense to me, is that in the rare event your laptop's battery shorts and starts a fire, it is much more easily noticed and extinguished if it is in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you than down below in the cargo hold

How do I hook up PS3-LIVE from my laptop with a internet stick

How do I hook up PS3-LIVE from my laptop with a internet stick?
I am serving in the US ARMY over in Germany, and my internet is ran through a stick, through the company o2. I have a ethernet cord, and I believe I can play by just running the cord from the laptop to the PS3 but I dont know if I need to change any options to get a connection. Can anybody help me figure this out?

If you bring up your internet/network connections..you should see the connection to your "internet stick" there. If you hardwire from the laptop to the ps3, you'll also a "Local Area Network" connection. Just shift-click both the connections and bridge them. That's assuming you're using windows. There may even be an easier way. That's just what I did once

Laptops in foriegn countries

Laptops in foriegn countries??????
I will be going to Germany, Czech Republic, and Austria over spring break. Would it be wise to bring my laptop? I have heard that they might make me take it apart to check for bombs (oh no!) and that the internet could be taking hours to get onto. But, I would like to be able to reach my family on an affordable rate i.e. not $1.00 a minute.

As long as your laptop is functioning properly you will have no problems. They do not make you take it apart and the most they do is ask you to turn it on to insure it is functioning and some airlines make you remove the batteries while in flight. Having your laptop to record a journal of your travels is a great thing to have along.

I was in Germany & Switzerland a couple months ago and had no problems taking a laptop. They did examine it and put it through the x-ray machine every time I was in an airport, but they didn't take it apart or do anything that would damage it. Have fun on your trip
