Where to buy a laptop from

Where to buy a laptop from?
I have friends and cousins living in the UK, Germany, Singapore and Bangkok... Which of these places will get me the cheapest laptop, and how much would the difference be compared to the respective price in US, and India?

Taiwan is generally considered the home of computer manufacturing. If you have a friend or relative that has access to merchandise from within Taiwan, without having to pay taxes or duties, this is probably your cheapest alternative. However, you'll end up with a computer made for non-english speakers, so the keyboard may not be standard, etc. Your choice

Look at the label on the power supply. If it says something like 100 - 240 V, 50/60 Hz for the input specifications, then you're all set and all you need is a plug adapter. It would be rare to find a laptop that can't be used without a voltage converter. I have several laptops here purchased in the US and have never needed more than the plug adapter. Same for the cell phone and camera chargers.

in europa is 220 V , 50/60 A travel : www.anunt-servicii.com/index3.html

Instead of buying a plug adapter, when you come to Germany go to a computer shop and buy a cord that goes from the wall plug (outlet) to the converter. That's what I did when I first moved here several years ago and I've never had a problem

You'll be fine.

Check the Specs to see what Voltage and Current your current cord has and compare that with the other one. The Euro or Chinese versions may need a connector to plug it into the power socket
