How do I use my laptop in Germany? Which converter do I buy?
The converters that I see in stores & online say that they are not for use for computer...only hairdryers & small appliances.

Check the black power box. If it says something like "Input: 100-240 VAC," you don't need a power converter. All you need is a cheap adapter that changes the type of plug you use at home to the type of jack in use there. Not sure, but I think Germany uses a plug that has two round prongs. If you're in the US, with the two flat prongs, the adapters are widely available
